well it seems as though I will tell them that their system is in some dire need of a security protocol.

The best response was the getting beat up one. I laughed especially hard at that.

So it seems as though I will tell my neighbor that I could have been using their internet for free for the last month.

Just use it. Save some money for GW2! theres like 5 wireless connections at my house, all unsecure and decent strenght. Even worse at my sisters apartment there was like 15 unsecure connections.

If there connection is insecure, they won't mind you mooching anyways. Security what's that? lol
Though as said before, be the fix it guy if it's a hot chick, or a milf :P. Be sure to get payed in a proper manner though ha ha ha

Otherwise, I would just cancel yours and then leech for a while - IF there's a second ISP in the area. That way if you get caught you can probably find a "new customer discount" at the other provider.

If your neighbour's a douche, leave it alone and let him figure it out. If your neighbour's not a douche, let them know, it's common courtesy.

Although, if you want to screw him over, illegally download music on his connection and then let the RIAA find him, they don't check facts all that well.
